HMB Marine Electrical is a well-established Auckland marine electrical company with workshops at Tāmaki Marine Park and Half Moon Bay Marina. We are looking for an experienced Marine Electrician or a Registered Electrician, preferably with a solid understanding of boats, to join our team. Even if your background is in industrial, commercial, or residential electrical, and you’ve got practical knowledge of boat systems, let’s chat.

About the Role

This is a hands-on, varied role working across a wide range of vessels, from large launches, commercial vessels and yachts to trailer boats and sometimes even RV's (affectionately known as land crabs).

You’ll be installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting:
*Solar and charging systems
*Batteries Wiring and switchboard
*Navigation and Communication Electronics
*Smart monitoring systems
*Marine Electronic packages and much more ...

What You’ll Bring
*Sound knowledge of boats and onboard electrical systems
*Strong AC/DC electrical understanding
*Trade qualification in electrical work (5+ years’ experience)
*Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
*Clear communication and good customer service
*Pride in your workmanship and a positive, can-do attitude
