Simon Jennings

Simon Jennings is the owner and operator of HMB Marine Electrical and has a wealth of knowledge when it comes to boating.

This starts with his specialist technical background. Simon’s many qualifications include electrical engineer, Marine Class 4 engineer, offshore masters tickets and much more. (If it’s on a boat, he knows how it works and how to fix it).

He also has sailing in his blood.

Simon has multiple offshore and local yacht races to his name, including twice completing the Melbourne – Osaka two-handed race. He also navigated a number of premier offshore racing yachts, including a 3rd place in the Sydney Hobart.

Simon has also worked as an engineer on megayachts, skippered a premier game fishing boat, and worked as an electrical engineer at Alloy Yachts, designing electrical and electronic systems for superyachts.

A team of marine electrical specialists.

After taking ownership of HMB Marine Electrical, Simon surrounded himself with a very talented group of marine electricians, with a variety of backgrounds in automotive, commercial and industrial electrical and telecommunications.

Between them, with their depth of experience and knowledge, they can fix almost any problem you throw at them. The crew enjoy working in the marine environment and keeping up with the ever-changing pace of technology.

If you have technical issues with your boat or are thinking of upgrading systems aboard it, please come in and chat with one of our staff, they can offer you experienced, unbiased advice on which systems and products are best.
