Upgrading a British Visitor

We're seeing more and more overseas boats coming down to New Zealand – with many here right now, escaping the Northern Hemisphere winter. We recently did some work on a fabulous vessel, SY Isabel, a beautiful British-owned Oyster Yacht. During her time in Auckland, the HMB team installed three new Raymarine Axiom screens – a complex job that included a considerable amount of rewiring and problem-solving. We also helped remove the mast and cabling while the rig was being serviced, plus we installed a new FLIR masthead camera and Starlink Wi-Fi.

SY Isabel's Captain, Ben Pickersgill, was chuffed with the outcome and gave our team a big thumbs up:

"…the standard of marine services in New Zealand is world-class, and HMB Marine Electrical proved it – this wasn't a straightforward job, but GT, ably assisted by Mitch, Dan, and Zoe, impressed me with their hard work, knowledge, and perseverance. Isabel was in safe hands."

– Ben Pickersgill: Captain, SY Isabel
