Marine Plumbing & Pumps
Marine plumbing is an essential part of your onboard system and requires specialist knowledge for a successful installation. Galvanic Protection
Boat anodes (also referred to as zinc anodes although they may be aluminium) protect the metal parts of your boat from corrosion, which occurs when any two dissimilar metals are physically or electrically connected and immersed in water (such as the shaft, rudder, outboard, sterndrive or propeller). HMB Marine Electrical can ensure these small (but important) components are correctly sized and installed.
We provide full galvanic protection tests and surveys. The bonding system needs to be checked regularly. One corroded wire can lead to thousands of dollars of damage to props and shafts.
